Just what do you say in answer to the posts on a thread such as this?

I get very frustrated, because there are answers to every one of the comments here, but where do you start?

http://www.christianforums.com/t863368

No offense, but when someone asks why christians keep Sunday worship...I see that they are searching for truth, and then the OP is bombarded with misinterpreted bible texts, and then thanks everyone for clarifying their queary.

I shake my head with a sigh of grief.

Since I was a responder in said thread, # 13 to be exact, did you get a chance to read this response and are you as frustrated?

If you are a believer in Y'shua, you must admit the traditional shomer shabbos was to be kept in light of:

Mark 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

And that was while the Old Covenant was still in effect.

Recall:

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Hebrews 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament {{covenant}}, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. 16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

Hi Johnd,

I'm not sure if you read my post #18 on that thread, but it should give you an idea of what I believe on the matter.

My beliefs are grounded in the word of Yahweh, and not mens interpretations and assumptions Yahweh's word Yahweh.

Please know that I speak this with much humility and with thanks to my Heavenly Father for imparting His wisdom upon me through the Holy Spirit.

May Yahweh bless you and keep you

Shalom from Bon

Please take the time to read our Messianic Judaism Forum rules, with particular attention to Rule #3, this will equip you with the "rules of the road" so to speak :)
3) Non-Messianic Posts: Non-Messianic members (eg. Protestant, Catholic, Non-Messianic Jewish members) can only post fellowship posts here or posts to ask a question regarding Messianic Judaism doctrine. Once the question is answered, there shall be no debate over the answer in this forum by the Non-Messianic members. Any debate or apologetic posts, as well as efforts to answer questions about Messianic Judaism by Non-Messianic members will be deleted or moved to the Interdenominational Doctrine Debate forum (or other appropiate forum) and warnings will be issued. In other words, only Messianic members can debate, answer questions about Messianic Judaism or engage in apologetics here.
