This reminds me of something my pastor once said. He said every Christian should have three people in their life -- One should be like a guide. He should be further along in his walk with Christ so he can help you through the tougher times and share his wisdom with you. The second one should be on the same spiritual level as you, so the two of you can grow and experience God side by side. And the third one should be newer to the faith, so that you can help him through the tough times and share your wisdom with him. All three are important, none more or less than another.

I fully agree. The fact that they are new to the faith does not change that.

New converts should especially be warmly accepted with open arms. They're our brothers/sisters in Christ. Hehe, I tend to be very protective of new converts too.
