I just thought I'd let my home forum family know the news that the House of Ivanhoe shall have an heir in a little over 8 months!

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Congrats Wilfred! I too just found out (well, about 3 weeks ago,) that we'll be expecting our second child - due in February.

My husband did this with our kids and they knew the sound of his voice the minute they were born (plus it was fun watching him get kicked in the face a few times--made him more sympathetic to what I was going thru!)

CelticFlower, the Mrs. has suggested that I tell the baby goodnight and good morning respectively. Years ago, I had always thought to read The Three Musketeers, or Ivanhoe to my developing child. God has changed my life that I no longer hold literature in such a high regard. I will have to find an even older book to read!
Cygnusx, don't worry, I won't try to read the Institutes at that age. Actually, I once attempted to read Ivanhoe to the Mrs. before bed time and it put her to sleep wonderfully. I think we are going to have trouble aggreeing upon the name... esp. if we have a boy. I like all of these strange Welsh and Irish names for middle names and she thinks I'm nuts!
