This show is still on? :D I guess I've been too busy to watch it. Could someone remind me what chanel it's on? I know it aired on Wednesdays. Thanks.

I would like to see the last episode, to see whether or not they go back to being Amish or not. I think Moses will. But I don't know about the others. They seem to be enjoying being worldly way too much.

If you have a UPN affiliate it'll be on that channel, otherwise check your local listings. First run on Wednesdays at 8pm E/7pm C, with a replay on Friday nights (IIRC).

I was a little disappointed in the fact that there weren't more concrete decisions from the Amish kids about what they wanted to do. Everyone still seemed unsure. I know it's a big decision, and I'm glad I didn't have to make it, but they made it seem like they WOULD be doing so. Oh, well....I still enjoyed the show. :)

This was a pretty darn good reality TV series. They edited a bit for drama, but overall, the editing was mainly about everyone learning from each other. I'm really glad I watched.

Fieldmouse, I too wish they would have had a more concrete indication than just the comments offered by the individuals. Something like "Ruth now lives in Pittburgh and is attending college" or "Whitney is enrolled in nursing school." I felt a little disappointed with that, but that would be my only criticism of the finale.

I don't know if they can pull off another one, or if it would be covering the same ground, but I'd probably watch another installment.

That's what I wanted at the end! Something that let us know what they were doing with their lives after this show and how it affected them beyond just their last few days there at the house.

the amish arent that different. they, as seen in this show, have no problem with our demoralized society. i thought it was awful that some of the amish girls were smoking. i did three double takes and was still hoping my eyes had decieved me. and then when they were all drinking at the bar? it was just awful, and i doubt that the amish church will let them back if they find out what they were doing.

It's my understanding that during this time period, the rumspringer, they are allowed to do these things. Now, they couldn't continue if they chose to return to the Amish and become members of the church and community again. That is what part of the rumspringer is about, to experience life outside of the community to decide if they want to be baptised into the Amish church or not.
