Anybody have any favorite Amish places to visit?
1. Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Lancaster is fun, but it's very touristy and full of Amish "attractions". For the tourist, of course this is the way to go.
I love seeing buggies going down the back roads in the country myself. The little Amish kids love to wave at you as you drive by!

amish people interest me, but i think its very hypocritical that they can forgive a englisher for murder...but shun their own children if they decide to not live the amish lifestyle....just wrong.

I've not personally spent time visiting Amish folks at their homes, although I have spoken to a few in the process of buying goods. Their cookies are the biggest ones you'll see in your life. They're huge. Also, I like their cheeses and sausages. They are a strict, and yet a kind group of people.
