  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm so happy, that I got to spend fourteen fantastic days with Amie here in Holland :), but sad to see her go :(, but also glad that she'll see her family at home again :)

Will you please pray for a safe flight home for Amie; I'm sure she'll appreciate it, and I'll be sleeping a whole lot better when I get that sign of life from California.

Have a good, safe flight home my love.

I can report, that Amie landed safely at LAX and called me from her home a couple of hours ago. :)

The two items of luggage she checked in, however, didn't arive at their destination (Delta misplaced a bunch of other passengers luggage too). :( So I guess that there's still something there to pray for, in case someone in here wishes to do so.

Update:

The dufflebag (containing the bulk of the souvenirs Amie had bought for her family) turned up in Warchau, Poland, of all places, which ment it managed to find its way back to her within 24 hours. The suitcase containing her clothes and migraine-medication got stuck in New York however, where the blackout is probably still causing a big stink, so let's just hope that won't take much longer. (I, for one, am glad Amie hadn't schedualed her flight back a day later, considering her layover was at JFK).
