  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The op is pretty much correct about work ethics. I have clients from europe in different fields who have expressed the same concerns.

A very troubling aspect is how often I see high school kids begging for money for their sports/other activities in front of stores. Who in the hell is teaching these kids to beg instead of trying to work for the money? I called the local high school to point this out and all I got in return was basically to screw off.

You should ask your question to yourself. A society where you can´t let childs go outside is a broken society in my opinion.

I would say it's more a fearful society than a broken one.

No doubt our country is driven on fear lately, but to call us broken would be calling the kettle black considering not long ago your country was having financial issues of its own.

Our financial issues were in no way as threatening than yours. Germany never lost its AAA rating. We fixed it 2003.

You keep reminding me more and more of the person from China who was here for a cup of coffee wanting to remind us how much more "free" China was than America.

You can give it a rest. If we were really as bad as you all said, we'd be gone by now.

Well, that's your experience with that one factory. Best not to judge a nation of millions of people on it. I've worked at places where you're expected to bust your butt the whole time. Where I work currently, we keep it light to keep morale up, but we're productive - we provide the best service in our industry, and that's what our customers say about us.

A bunch of questions and not a single statement. What exactly are you trying to get at?

I may be wrong but it appears that you are attempting to deny what people are saying about it being safe to walk to school and leave your doors unlocked. Well, I'll have you know that I used to walk or ride a bicycle or dirtbike to school, and the doors to my house have never been locked in my life. The keys to my cars are in the cars and I usually leave them in the car, with the doors unlocked (obviously) and the windows rolled down in the summer, even when I go to the store or something like that.

Yes, safe and lawful communities do exist. I can't quantify exactly what makes these communities so much safer and more lawful than others, but I do have some ideas about why that nobody wants to hear because they are not politically correct.

That is the point I am making by asking.

That some people still live in peaceful, safe communities.
And others do not no matter how small or large they are or their state of function or lack thereof.

The question is why people must choose whether they live in safe communities or not that they must put work above their flesh and blood.

And the answer is they should not. Because no matter how important your job is, your children are a million times more important. And if you as a parent want to take time from work to make sure the future of your nation arrives at school fine and well, then you should.

I am sure he feels the same way about children that if a parent wants to be confident they will act.

Our government is run by two groups who are more concerned with destroying the other than actually governing the nation. One group is far more guilty of this than the other, but the effect is the same.

Wow...

I really wish America could have remained isolationists while the Germans...nevermind.

What an original and constructive response, bravo.
