The children here go alone to school. I walked alone to school since i was 7 years old. My mother walked the way with me a few times and then i did it alone.

We used to walk to school alone and leave our doors unlocked, but those days are gone. Our country is morally bankrupt.

My fathers work started 5 AM. He never had Time to bring me to school then. Only when he had holiday.

In germany you go to Kindergarten when you reach 3 years. When i was 3 years old, my mother brought me to Kindergarten at 7 AM. Kindergarten openes 6AM here. When i was 5 i also walked that way alone. All here do that.

Of course it is safe. What should happen? Our parents teach us to take care on the streets so you watch at cars and show that you want cross the street. You even get teached to greet evry grandma and grandpa you meet on your way (evry old women and man is considered a grandma and grandpa here for kids ).

The worst thing that happened to me in that years was, that i did fall on my knees.

We have child molesters stalking our kids. We need one parent to be in the home..... Women need to lovely teach our kids again or we will pay someone else to teach them their values.

Not always but they care more Generally because there more family orientated than not. We have become disfunction-able statewide. Modesto of 60k growing up isn't the same of 250k plus of today,that's why I nolonger reside there. My grandparent lived across the street and we knew the grocery clerks by name etc. We knew are neighbors by name.....neighborly we would go fishing together pass food around. We mowed the neighbors lawn when he was sick etc. YA THOSE DAYS ARE GONE!

Ok in my area..... I live in Turlock Ca..... I have put my best foot forward with my neighbors and have built relationships with alot of the neighbors, but most lived here yrs before I and they didn't know one another as they do now....... We all are like family here. Looking out for one anther.

Are you kidding? Germanys unemployment rate is much lower than that of the USA. We almost have complete employment for all. Our economy grows very much and is almost uneffected from any economic crisis.

Are you kidding me, like I said this would take uncommon sense to know this, how much money will be sending you this year, look around at how many American military bases there are in Germany. The growth of the economy has little to do with job creation, but that's way beyond some people's scope.

USA suffers from massive decay in industrial power. More and more american companies bring their production to other countries. I would assume its your governments duty to stop that.

Depends what areas you mean. In germany we never had a loan bubble. It is not in our culture to make a loan to book a holiday. Here people safe to get what they desire. Loan politics of the banks are very strict. At the bank they check evrything if you are able to pay the loan back. In case of cars, you have to pay at least 20-30% of the price from own saved money, before you can have the rest as loan. On the other side we gained alot of influence over Europa in the last years. Now our government can dictate almost evrything to the other nations. The european union has become a german union and thats a very positive thing in my opinion.

I find it hilarious that you sit here and laugh at the U.S. and talk about Germany having a functional society. Not too long ago, your country was riddled with budget issues as well.

A bunch of questions and not a single statement. What exactly are you trying to get at?

I may be wrong but it appears that you are attempting to deny what people are saying about it being safe to walk to school and leave your doors unlocked. Well, I'll have you know that I used to walk or ride a bicycle or dirtbike to school, and the doors to my house have never been locked in my life. The keys to my cars are in the cars and I usually leave them in the car, with the doors unlocked (obviously) and the windows rolled down in the summer, even when I go to the store or something like that.

Yes, safe and lawful communities do exist. I can't quantify exactly what makes these communities so much safer and more lawful than others, but I do have some ideas about why that nobody wants to hear because they are not politically correct.
