That verse is a closing proclamation regarding the sovereignty of Jesus Christ above what Paul was discussing in chapter eleven.

What is wrong with American politics?

Congress always seems to be in gridlock.

The president is always public enemy number one even though the people elected the president.

No matter whether democrats or republicans are elected the status quo is maintained.

Viewed from the outside American politics seems corrupt and dysfunctional.

Mostly it's Gerrymandering. By trying to eliminate voter choice, by producing large numbers of "safe" districts, politicians assure that the most radical candidates tend to win. And there it is.

Does anyone else think that Republican and Democrat is just a front? That these politicians are all friends with each other and enemies of God? I think that the goal of politics is to keep the general population's eyes off Jesus and to bring forth their one world government.
