Lisa, I reported the post because it is up to staff to determine whether it is a rule violation. I know no other way to get that determination.

You might examine your post above and note the snotty things you said about me publicly that could have been PMed to me.

Steve, Snotty or not, what I said was true. I offered. You refused. You reported me. Reporting ought to be a last resort between Christians or BY Christians. You know, turn the other cheek and all that. Don't do something if it offends your brother and all that.

I will be surprised if the mods find it to be a violation so all you have done is stirred up strife between us when I was willing to accomodate you.

As a point of order, who moderates what here? Do only orthodox Christians moderate Christian sites?

How many moderators are in fact born-again Christians? Do you have to provide a statement about your faith before you can moderate?

There are some atheist moderators here and it caused a great upset right after 7-7-07. However, they have done a good job in my opinion.

I do not know if new mods would have to provide a statement of faith or not.

And what of the many that see this as mockery of the Trinity?

Nope

I think we need to all stop taking ourselves so seriously:D

That sense of humour thing, its not a sin to use it is it?

Who did that?
apparently lolcat did.

Oh well, that makes me hell bound, add that to being an evil occult infiltrator, sexual predator untrustworthy and other such labels that christians like to dump on those different from them.

This baloney is not worth it. serious, I have half a day off left and I'll be darned if I waste it on this place.

n.[m.] emptiness, vanity 1. emptiness, nothingness, vanity:

Well, why don't we stop pretending to be subtle, okay?

You were implying that I had taken the Lord's name in vain by posting the LolCat Creed.

This after telling me that you reported me to let the moderators decide if it had broken a rule. However, I DIDN'T break a rule. I self-edited for my own reasons.

Yet, after telling me that the reason you reported me was to determine if I had indeed mocked God, now, you are implying that I have broken a commandment.

So, which is it Steve? Are you judging me or going through the correct process to determine if you SHOULD judge me or not?

Your post is the height of hypocrisy.

Lisa

O.K.- another way to reduce stress here and increase understanding is for someone neutral step in and try and help cool down the rhetoric.

This can also be a good way of getting protagonists to take the guns off each other, and point them at you!

So, Rep Daddy throws down the gauntlet on a long simmering dispute. But Lisa had already taken the brave step of editing the controversial post- therefore trying to bring peace.

So, Rep Daddy- right up front, an edit is needed- the goal is reconciliation, and your post is taking things in the opposite direction.

Now the first line in Lisa's response is- let's face it- provocative. Honest, true; but nevertheless provocative. The last line is probably similar. They also are not going in the right direction.

So let me suggest a re-word for those two sentences; the two of you will have to do the rest.

First Line:

"Rep Daddy- I'm disappointed- maybe I'm sensitive, but your comment came off as being unnecessarily harsh."

Last Line:

"I would suggest your post is a little hypocritical, don't you think? Would you consider doing a quick edit?"

Ready, aim, FIRE!!
