Eliminate it entirely? No. Make it extremely painful for those countries and organizations who preach it and fund it? Yes

Which countries? Iraq? Pakistan? China? Indonesia? North Korea? Iran? Syria? Sudan? Yemen? Cuba? Chechnya? Israel? Palestine? Burma? How about Saudi Arabia which planted the seed of Al Queda? You definitely do not understand politics on how dirty and selfish it has become. As of the now, the war on terrorism is based on namesake.

Also, your country will not even allow other countries to fight terrorism unless it is their approval. How many times did India complain about Pakistan's state funding of terrorism in Kashmir. Your country did not care because Pakistan was their ally and it was not in their political interest to reprimend Pakistan. Therefore, India decides to build a nuclear bomb for their own security, and guess what? America influences the UN to sanction India even though your country has nuclear bombs. Let other countries take care of themselves because you cannot police the whole world and dictate other countires.

there will always be threats. there will always be wars. the reason G-d required the anhilaton of amalek was not becuase they waqrred against israel, but HOW they warred: terrorism.
Does G-d require the elimination of the Palestinians? Did he tell you himself?

Vene: I don't know.

Did he speak to me face to face as he did to Moses? No. Do I have his word recorded in Torah? Yes. Now the question is, how to apply it. That is what this thread is about.

As you do not accept scripture as G-d's word, I doubt there is anything you can contribute to this thread. But if you feel compelled to react, it's a free country.

mikkyo:

You just can'[t resist the opportunity to include Israel on your list of terrorist countries , despite the fact that none of the policies Israel has fit the definition of terrorism. But it would just be too painful for you to list all those Muslim countries and not mention Israel.

Look Mikkyo: like I said to Vene, this thread is supposed to be a discussion of Torah, and how to apply the instructions regarding the Amalekites. Since you don't accept Torah as the uncorrupted word of G-d, there's nothing for you to contribute here.

Then why are you comparing them to a group of people whose destruction was ordered by your god?

You know so little of Judaism, even Christianity, or you would know that the Babylonian captivity was allowed by G-d as discipline for Israel turning again and again to idols.

The second diaspora, with the destrution of the second Temple and massacre of Jews in Jerusalem by the Romans, this also was allowed by G-d as discipline for the sins of Israel, this time not idolatry, but loshen hara, evil tongue, and Jews hating without reason.

Then the UN should give Palestinians tanks and airplanes, and they won't be called terrorists anymore.

Did you ever view JESUS as a type of Moses when you were a Messianic?
I see a lot of similarities between the Pharaoh/egyptians and the Pharisees/chief-priests in the NC.

Exodus 7:1 And YWHW is saying unto Mosheh, "See!, I give thee [as] Elohiym to Par`oh, and 'Aharown thy brother shall be thy prophet";
2 Thou shall speak all which I am instructing you, and 'Aharown thy brother shall speak to Par`oh and he sends away sons of Yisra'el from his land.

Mark 14:53 And they led away the Jesus toward the Chief-priest, and are coming together to Him all the chief-priests, and the elders, and the scribes;

Hebrews 11:29 By Faith They crossed-over/diebhsan <1224> (5627) the Red Sea as thru Dry, which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned

I'm pretty sure that Amalek is located in the minds of paranoid individuals these days.
Sounds about right. And chances are that this idea is what produced the real Amaleks: by demonizing/de-humanizing their supposed "enemies", they become capable of committing unspeakable atrocities against them.

Chances are that the foreign policies of the Bush administration have killed more innocent children within the last six years than Islamic terrorism.

Things aren't as black and white as we'd like them to be. I doubt that there is such a thing as "the good guys" in this conflict.

Lamb: No. My entire life, I have never considered lawfulness to be a bad thing. Not in my short duration in the Messianic world. Not in my 20 years as a Catholic, not in my 26 years as an evangelical. I never thought of Jesus as someone who delivered us from pharisees. In my past as a christian, I thought he was someone who delievered me from my sins.

I have no clue at all what you question has to do with this thread. Can you explain why you ask and the relation to the OP?

In response to GerT. Then perhaps you should go back to the Bible again and read what Jesus came to accomplish for the JEWS/Israelites first then for the World. [I also use to be RC].

We know the Jews do not have to go to a temple now to offer up sacrifices year after year to take away sins. I can view that as a type of being loosed from the bondage of those. Thoughts? Shalom. :wave:

Hosea 13:14 "From hand of Sh@'owl I shall release/rescue/06299 padah them; from Death I shall Redeem/01350 ga'al them. Where plagues of you Death?. Where sting of you Sh@'owl? Regret shall be hidden from My eyes.

1 Corinthians 7:23 with a price ye were bought/hgorasqhte <59>, become not servants of men;

Revelation 5:9 and they sing a new song, saying, `Worthy art thou to take the scroll, and to open the seals of it, because Thou wast slaughtered, and didst purchase/hgorasaV <59> Us to God in Thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation

Time for work... I don't know if I'll be back online before shabbat or not.
Happy shabbat to you!!! Btw, did ya notice Jesus mentioned that day in Matt 24:20? :wave:

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to mikkyo again.

Matt 24:19 "Woe yet to those in belly having and to those suckling in those the days! 20 "Be ye praying yet that no may be becoming the flight of ye of winter neither a Sabbath. [Daniel 12]

John 11:48 "If ever we may be letting Him thus, all shall be believing into Him, and shall be coming the Romans and they shall be taking away of us and the Place and the Nation.

...........The day on which Titus encompassed Jerusalem, was the feast of the Passover. At this season multitudes came up from all the surrounding country, and from distant parts, to keep the festival and the city was at this time crowded with Jewish strangers,...........
.......The Temple now presented little more than a heap of ruins
