Am I too young??

Kyle, would you consider beginning a thread sharing with us some accounts of being persecuted for Christ's sake. I would love to hear more. It's just a thought. Do any particular scripture come to mind when you are being spit apon or ridiculed about? Have you ever thought of "throwing in the towel"? Many of us would probally love to hear of your personal testimony. Could be very stregthening and powerful to the brothers and sisters out here who may be dealing with something similiar.

I am 15, and I am serving full time as an usher at my Church...I recently was...umm...put down by somebody older than I was in the Ministry, and I am beginning to think that maybe it's not my place, and I should wait until I'm older to serve in ministry. I always look to 1 Tim 4:12, but, I dunno, it just doesn't seem to apply here for some reason...any advice???

N/B/ here: (am I to old? :)
Perhaps it is best answered between you and the one that you adore
It might help to see what your spiritual IQ is first before you advance too fast?? Read Heb. 5:11-14 & then Heb. 6:1-3. STOP THERE. Before continuing on & take a check to see where you are at? Perhaps you can minister in these milk subjects for a time in your every day wittness.

As you see, the rest of Pauls remarks are for those of full age, or maturing that way, at least.

I suspect that there are many who think that they called to the ministry even, who are not. -----P/N/B/

I also agree with everyone here. As a fellow usher, I'm one of the youngest serving in the ministry. I got my "calling" from God a while back  and have been serving as an usher for nearly two yrs. now. I know an alter server is only like 11 yrs in my parish. I don't think age matter in ministry, as long as the person can perform the duties of God. keep your head up high.

Firstly your 15 and no doubt there are other people that are 15 and a little bit less or older in your church and they will listen to relate to and talk to you more because there your age and you live a similar lifestyle.

Theres no right age to to start ministry as long as you have a love in your heart for god and a passion to see his work done. Some of the older ones just forget that they have been soing it a long time and everyone has to start somewhere.

God is doing something very powerful in your and the younger generation and will use it a lot. If anything the church need more young people they are after all children.

Mark 9:15 - I tell you the truth you must accept the kingdom of god as if you are a child or you will never enter it.

Ask god for guidence but if you feel you can achieve something then dont be put of by people.
