i have one child and i have been praying for years to god to give me another child but sometimes thoughts come to me saying that i am much better than those who have no children at all and these thoughts try to stop me from going on praying for another child...........am i right?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There is no need to feel guilt because you have a child and others don't. I agree with what was already said, pray about it and God will give you another if it is meant to be.

What's with all of the guilt? Many people will go to bed tonight without eating and I feel for them, but I do not feel guilty when I eat a great meal. In fact, I simply feel more grateful for the opportunity I have to eat. What I recommend is to not look at your desires in such a negative way. Just look at our God and how great he is! Take advantage of his mercy and his kindness toward us! Ask for all that you want, but be grateful and remember who it was that gave it to you.
