I would recommend the Liberal forum. They don't consider the Bible to be important either. You should do well there.

What? Ah...I think as a Christian we should recommend people to live accord to God's words rather than fitting God around what we think he should be??? She should not go to a place that would just accept what she believes so that she could fit it. I believe God challanges our entire being to form to his image since we are his image bears. There is but one Heaven and one Hell. We are seperated into each.

Please, stop condeming me. I post this thread to get some loving advice and not told how screwed up my beliefs are. I'm told enough times by others out of CF how screwed up I am. Please, watch what you say I get hurt really easy. I pray and talk to GOD, I know of some of what I am doing. I'm not total lost and into satan. And don't pressure me to go into your beliefs because I'm not pressuring you into mine.

Do you assume that people in the Liberal Theology forum are against God? Why? They just have a different view on Him and what He wants. There's nothing wrong with that. Everyone perceives God in their own way and it's good, because we can learn from each other that way. I visit that forum often, mostly I only read threads, but from time to time I also post there.

Let me tell you there are alot of "Christians" who post here that think whatever they want and as long as they think Jesus is cool or lived or was a nice guy they are "Christians". I have found telling people that the Bible is there to guide us and show us what being a Christian is I'm told that the Bible is just a book and there are better places to get God's Word. While I don't agree with that the Admins of the board find it acceptable so I will tell anyone who thinks like this person go to the Liberal Theology forum where everyone will tell you it's ok because the Admins obviously don't have a problem with it and I told her what I think and she didn't care and I doubt will because there are those here who will tell her she's right.

I have accepted Jesus in my heart, I truly believe and love him. My only problem now is other christians, once I work around them then I'm fit. I'm just very upset that everything has to be bibical to be true. I think some other things not in the bible are true. I do believe animals have souls, and we should love the earth. I agree with you - the bible does not deal with everything, only the main things. I am sure there will be many new things to understand in heaven - maybe animals with souls is one of them.

I am behind you 100%. God is the one who will judge - and his is the only opinion which is worth anything.

OnlyJesus knows your heart, and as for Harry Potter as long as you are mature enough to discern between fiction and Real Witchcraft and can see the allegories it is not up to Christians to judge that.

I am mature enough, I know Harry Potter is just a fiction book and shouldn't effect my beliefs. It is a good read though, and I believe it has some morals in it.

Then don't let anyone condem you for it. If someone should, remember this...likewise those who condemn you watch, listen to, or some how is interacted with something would break the law of Moses (and I am not trying to get into a debate about does the law exist or not). Reading Harry Potter does not somehow compromise your faith because it has witchcraft in it. We can't escape the wickedness of the world and are called to be a shining light to it. Don't be controled by people who feel it is more important to get away from Harry Potter then it is to challange themselves, their brothers, and their sister who have problems with pride or addiction problems.

And, he is some knowledge for you. The name for eternity of God is YHWH which is written in OT. The faithful went into Roman full of it's gods and changed the name of YHWH to God to reach them. Likewise, the quoted their own poets and philophorers to engage them. The faithful had to get in touch with those people by getting into the culture and reaching them. Likewise, we have to reach others.

Your right Christ would never tell anyone don't like what I have to say ok go over there and come up with whatever you want. But many of the Christians here have told me that I am wrong and not following God's will because I use the Bible to learn what Christ had to say. I haven't said anything to this woman but answer her questions and let her know where she will get the least resistance to what she believes since most of you think what she thinks about God and Christ is ok. If you have a problem I would suggest reporting it since I have had a pm on the matter once.

No one is trying to start trouble but I will have you know that this DEAR marmalade is trying her best to be a WONDERFUL christian and she feels that when others are judging her that she is crushed.
