Only God knows if your a true Christian or not.But i would recommend you read the bible and follow it.As you read the bible you will grow in the word of Christ.I'll pray for you to come closer to Christ and to find all the answers you are looking for.God Bless

The thing is, I do read some of the bible. I just feel like learning about different beliefs and questioning things. I'm not going against the bible, I just truly want to learn more there is then the bible. I want to be open minded to other things. I was thinking all these after the post. I'm not talking about witchcraft I'm not into that stuff. I'm talking about discovering what beliefs make me happy. Everyone believes different even if they are a christian. Most christians can't believe that I want to question the bible and believe beyond it.

The bible pretains to everyone even gays. You're right that a lot of the things you believe are not true, BUT you can easily become a christian. By simpilly saying a simple prayer, somthing like this: Dear Jesus, I want you to be my Lord and Savior I accept you into my heart and into my life. I believe that you are God and there is no other God besides you. And I am sorry for all the sins I have committed against you. Please forgive me I want to be yours now. Amen. Now use your own words, and acctaully mean what you say. Soon you'll be seeing a change in your life. And as for being gay God doesn't want you to go through that. He loves you and even though it might seem cool at first after a while it will become a way of life for you. And it will be hard to go back which I promise you, you will eventually want to. And so the best thing to do is just not even start being gay. Just give your all to God and he'll take care of you. And remember Even though I don't understand what you're going through God always does. Congrats on becoming a christian. Remember it's not always going to be easy but it will pay off in the end, and you'll be glad you did. I'll be praying for you. Hope everything works out ok. P.S. I think that most of the 10 question have been covered very nicely by TS1, Davis, WalksWithChrist, Followers4christ….well everyone, I just wanted to give a shout out to them.

I just want to add a good bit.

1) you have been deceived by those who wish to deceive you. It appears more and more common this days that people don’t believe 100%. But Followers4christ spoke truthfully.

2) I pm you briefly about the rapture. It is a mystery. We don’t know it’s full purpose if it is pre-trib., mid-trib, post-trib, etc…they are on going debates about it. Don’t let your heart be troubled by it. When know it is apart of the 2nd coming and you can’t do anything about it. Though people have given certain meanings to it because they believe it will occur at certain times. It is not fully detailed to distinguish it perfectly. I reinforce that it will happen.

John 17:13
13“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17Sanctify them bythe truth; your word is truth. 18As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

We don’t escape the world. God is coming here. Read Rev 21 & 22. Also:

4) believe in the existence of spirits because God created them. Look at Samuel the prophet being called to answer Saul. However, have nothing to do with them.

5) recarnation strips a person away from their identity. God has created you unquie with an identity. He spends a long period of time developing it. He is not going to trash his work to just make you something different. Paul tells us in 1 Cor 15:58:
58Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

If our labor is not in vain then more importantly, our identity is not vain.


7) Who are truly wicked? Those who don’t actually believe and then do God’s covenant with us. It is God’s standard that we look to for the ultimate good. There is not an individual truth of good and love for you and then another one for me. That is not what Jesus taught.


8) you recognize hurting is evil. The completeness of it is that evil does not sustain people the way good does. From what you think a person could have sexual relations with another committed to just the pleasure of it and it is ok. This is totally different from the bible.


Gal 5:13-26

But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature d; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

10) why? If you believe God created man for woman, and you believe him, why then do you question him? The physical connection is right there…surely you know how man and woman fit. I would want you to know that when a man and a woman become one, it is believed their entire being merges (physical and spiritual). And God wrote that men be devoted to a woman the way Jesus was for the church. And wives to husbands.

Apart of being a Christian is actually living in love.

BTW! I love the Harry Potter Series. It is very interesting. I don’t believe a single thing in there is real magic, but I hope it does not entice you to believe in magic or Wicca. God says don’t do witchcraft. It is of demons. I am sorry if this was apart of your life because of others. But all of what is good and holy is of God. The only truly power is through him. He created nature and the universe. He is the supreme authority of the cosmos.

Anyway, there are many theologians who take up the quest of understanding the bible and specifically make sure the bible is word for word correct. I am personaly taken a journey on find the historical Jesus. There are some good authories who discuss the validate of the bible. I am sure several people can suggest to you certain ones that can help you become more excepting to it's authuntiesty. I recommend Thomas Cahill's Desire of the Everlasting Hills: The World Before and After Jesus (Hinges of History, Vol. 3 or anything from NT Wright (who has a lot of free stuff from his website), and Aims of Jesus by F. Meyer.
I want you to know that Jesus is not stuck in the past and in a culture so different from ours that it is not worth looking into....It is very important. You don't have to know the history to get some of the theology of Jesus, but without the history we can reshape Jesus into anything...

Also, for good authors to encourage faith try Max Lucado. He is a very easy read that is deep in passion for Christ.

My heart tells me that it's foolish to say that animals do have souls (let's just assume that that's true). We can't both be right, now can we?
