I've been doing that too, MW. I had a slight issue going on with my laptop the other day and everything was on a go slow. I managed to sort the problem, though, and things are back to normal, so the ads don't bother me as much now.

Knock knock? Who's there? Our lawn mowing chap is here racing round the lawn and neatening it up again.

Lawn mowing season is almost now upon us. Uugh.

Most winters, NZers have to keep mowing their lawns, though it does slow down to about once a month.

Not here. In the winter the grass dies due to the frost in the late fall.

Something I hated doing too - mowing the lawn. It was harder work than going to the gym, and the wretched grass just kept growing! So glad not to have a lawn now, just paving - brush it and and it's done!

The first mower that I used was a ground driven rotary back in the fifties. That was about the time that motors was added. This one didn't have a motor. It was a tough cut for a small skinny boy.

Understand that must have been, MW. I remember my father having a non-motorised (senior moment - cannot remember the correct word for it! ) mower, but mine just felt like it had no motor.

Very sure my husband's favourite garden would be concrete everywhere or paving stones. Perhaps a pot plant or two if I looked after them. I still remember the time we moved into our new home, when I was five years old. Dad immediately planted potatoes in the entire back yard, which was a big one. The number of bees in our garden that year was huge.
