  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Another program is called Operation Timothy, put together by CBMC, a worldwide network of business and professional men. Established in 1930 by a small group of businessmen, who shared the desire to communicate the eternal, life-saving message of Jesus Christ to others, CBMC continues to evangelize and disciple today's business and professional community.

It's a four booklet set, which takes a new-believer/seeker from A to Z. The website has the complete Leader's Guide posted, and outlines each of the four booklets chapter by chapter.

As for the Alpha Course, check out this article, which highlights the history of the program. Also read to understand the doctrine. Some of the doctrine is a little heavy for entry level Christians. Read the article, it provides a lot of details and theology, make sure you agree with it.

Hi!

Yeah, Alpha is a great way to introduce friends to the gospel.  It is open for discussions...so that non-christians have the opportunity to ask questions and to explore Christianity.

It looks at these questions - one for each session:

- Christianity: Boring, Untrue and Irrelevant?

- Who is Jesus?

- Why Did Jesus Die?

- How Can I Be Sure of My Faith?

- Why and How Should I Read the Bible?

- Why and How Do I Pray?

- How Does the Holy Spirit Guide Us?

- What Does the Holy Spirit Do?

- How can I Be Filled With the Spirit?

- How Can I Resist Evil?

- Why and How Should We Tell Others?

- Does God Heal Today?

- What About the Church?

- How Can I Make the Most of the Rest of My Life?

I ran an Alpha course at school and it went really well!  We got loads of kids really interested.

" 'Alpha', a course run at Holy Trinity Brompton (London) for non-churchgoers, those seeking to find out more about Christianity and those who have recently come to faith in Jesus Christ.  It has been running for several years and has grown substantially.  Hundreds of me and women of all ages have come on the course full of questions about Christianity, and have found God as their Father, Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord, and the Holy Spirit as the one who comes to live within them"
