CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm sorry, but inspired by your courage.
I'll add my prayers to the others'; just don't give up!
You know, as I look back I find that it is a large accomplishment to my faith.
My love for God has left me alone and him a little bitter at me. I'm still stuck in this torrent and hope to be pulled out of the water soon. I'm still very moody on this and it still hurts so bad...but all I can do is live on a prayer....

I'm sorry to hear of your pain.Have you spoken to your priest about this? Also, since you have a history of depression, is there a Catholic therapist you can work with? Perhaps someone in your parish can point you in the right direction.
Although I am not Catholic, a few years ago I worked with a therapist who was, and it was so comforting to have someone who could pray with me and work with me on my problems.
