Another trick I use is to frequently 'CTRL-A' then 'CTRL-C' a long post and thereby copy its contents to my computer's clipboard. That way if anything goes wrong I can 'CTRL-V' the clipboard's contents into a new page.

If the book has it the Kindle may be able to "read" it to you, just plug it into your computer mic port to record it, and there is also this: TextSpeech Pro - Text to Speech Software, Text-to-Wav
Also look into Calibre for converting from the Kindle format to pdf, word, etc. calibre - E-book management

Thanks brother , I did manage to find the tts facility on my kindle , I have the keyboard version , it also is available own the kindle fire , the only problem is the standard of speech is robotic lacking the nuances of a trained reader , the kindle fire has better speech software .

I will when I get the time look at calibre e-book management , it may be the best way forwards.
