I am amazed by some Protestants. Many, many Protestants are holier than many Catholics. And yet- Protestants do not have the nourishment of the Eucharist. This amazes me. If I did not have the Body and Blood of Jesus to feed me, I think I would whither up and die. I could never be a strong Christian without the Most Holy Eucharist. So for those Protestants who can be strong in Christ without the Eucharist- They are amazing. And I wonder just how much stronger they could be if they received this sublime Heavenly Food.

I have the Holy Spirit within in me. The Holy Spirit dwells within every true believer I do not need a physical symbol to be with Christ. This is a focus on the temporal. I do not consider myself better then anyone else for having a different view of Eucharist.

Nope.  Your "Why I Left the Catholic Church" thread that violated our rules and got trashed showed your true colors along with the mere mention of the Rupture Ready Rangers.  Anti-Catholicism is not tolerated here.

All I was doing was telling my story on one post about leaving the Catholic church. Is one not allowed to criticize or disagree with any Catholic doctrines. Some Catholics pertaining to that post even agree with me about Popes interfaith activities.
Is this a Catholic board?

Your rules seem intended to silence people just for having alternative viewpoints even if they ARE POLITE. Ive been on Catholic boards where I havent been treated this way.

Budge...we have these rules for a reason. If you are not comfortable with these rules there are other forums where your commentary will be welcome.

I registered here 8 months ago. and never posted got distracted and lost bookmark. I was STILL Catholic then. I am not today. I have made sure to change the profile to religion of today--independent Baptist.

Check the earliest date. I didnt lie. I have other proof to show you of my leaving Catholic church around that date.

Yes, I was astounded by the vitriolic nature of some of the posts. It is one thing to state your beliefs. It is quite another to calumniate others' beliefs.

If you wish to debate (and please note, the word is "debate," not "argue" or "trash") Catholic teachings, then you are most welcome to post in the Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish Meeting Place.

One Bread, One Body is for inquiries about Catholicism, and also serves as a place of respite for Catholics when the "debating" gets too heavy-handed.

I was not aware of the distinction between the boards. This board is complex and I could have missed it. Thanks for telling me.

As for being Anti-Catholic if you are using the term in the way that I am against many Catholic doctrines and believes. YEs.

But not if you are using it in the fashion of labeling someone a bigot for holding different beliefs. I have Catholic friends. I do not favor discrimination against anyone.

I have known Budge for several months from other boards.&nbsp; Several months ago she left the Catholic Church.&nbsp; She had quite a spiritual struggle which she was vocal about sharing.&nbsp;&nbsp; I don't think she has deceptive motives.

Budge,&nbsp; I wish I would have given you a heads up when I saw that you were posting here. &nbsp; You can't say the usual stuff you say about Catholisicm in this forum...and probably not anywhere else on the board.&nbsp; There is a difference between discussing&nbsp;certain issues&nbsp;concerning&nbsp;the Catholic Faith and trying to prove that the Church is evil.&nbsp; &nbsp;I know you don't like the term anti-Catholic, but by definition that is what you are.&nbsp; I know that you love Catholics and have a sincere desire to show us truth as you know it and I admire your intentions, though I disagree with them. &nbsp;

What I often find among those that left the Church is that they become something else because they don't want to be Catholic, not because they found truth somewhere else.

They join other denominations in order to not be Catholic. At least that is my opinion.
