  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Anyone been keeping up with the comedy gold that is the depositions? We all knew how badly run info wars is, but geeze the just level of incompetence. stuff like, "So you spent mocking people for unable to list accusers of Donald trump, but you can't even remember the people you've attacked over sandy hook." Or praising wolf *forget his full name* but knowing nothing about him. I really do hope they all get sued into poverty for their stuff.

Alex Jones Accused of ‘Jaw-Dropping’ Scheme to Hide Money From Sandy Hook Families
On paper, InfoWars parent company Free Speech Systems seems to lose money every year. Yet Jones has allegedly transferred significant amounts out of the company—financial transactions that often coincide with legal setbacks Jones has faced in the Sandy Hook cases. After the families sued him in 2018, for example, Jones allegedly started personally withdrawing a total of $18 million from the Free Speech Systems bank account over three years, along with drawing an annual $600,000 salary.

Many of the suspicious transfers center on a mysterious company called PQPR, which the plaintiffs claim is controlled by Jones and his family members. Shortly after Jones lost his last appeal to block the defamation cases in Texas, PQPR claimed that Free Speech Systems owed it $54 million—almost all of InfoWars’ assets.

Free Speech Systems began transferring its money to PQPR, then onto a series of shell corporations controlled by other Jones family members, according to the motion. While the payments were ostensibly made to pay off the hefty $54 million in arrears—a debt PQPR hadn’t bothered to enforce in the seven years during which InfoWars racked up the tens of millions in supposed debt—the plaintiffs say this was just a scheme to shelter InfoWars assets in an “alphabet soup of shell entities.”

I did not know being a square head and ranting at aliens and lizards taking over the world could earn one so much money. I mean buying all goods pushed on the website which must be so much safer than properly vetted and controlled goods through normal retailers really makes sense.

It struck me as odd when you compare opinions and information from experts who have spent their lives training and becoming the best in their fields is unrealiable, while a lunatic who raves with invented ideas of aliens, pedophile rings, democrates who stole an election with literally no evidence is 100% reliable and true. When you see the money being made pushing this stuff, there is a direct vested interest, the bigger the lie the bigger the income haul. When do people ask facts need to be proven and tested before being accepted. But maybe this is actually about emotional world views and the fear one might be wrong.

The stupider they are the longer they will believe (and part with their money)!

First of all, when it comes to trust and whom one trusts, this is based on time spent with a person. One's best and trusted friends are those whom you have spent much time with. You haven't seen their bank accounts or done police checks on them but you know them. I challenge everyone who is skeptical of Alex Jones to spend time with him and treat him the same as your closest friends. Be fair.

Secondly the anomalies of the Sandy Hook situation need to be examined in fairness to all other situations.

Thirdly - lots of pictures on the internet of the "dead" Sandy Hook kids as adults.

Alex Jones needs our prayers. If liberals silence him we're all next. A dictatorship is coming and he's on the front line stopping it.

The Bible says, “You shall not bear false witness.” If you are using factual information to criticize someone, that is acceptable. If you spread a lie about someone that causes loss, it may be proven to be slander, defamation or libel.

Is it possible the government lies and is lying about Alex Jones?

This is all false information.

Your defending a ghoul that profited off of the death of children for his own gain. What anomalies they have been shown to be false and fake so grow up. This isn't some game peoples lives have been ruined by this conspiracy nonsense.

This is nothing to do with government.

It was bereaved parents who brought the action for damages because they know that Alex Jones made up the story that their children were not shot in the Sandy Hook Massacre. The court has upheld the parents' claims and imposed punitive damages on Jones for his egregious lies.

People, don't believe the lies. The Sandy Hook situation was created to bring in gun control. It's purely political theatre and the families are getting rich off the whole situation.

Alex Jones and his organization are suffering because they are tell the truth.

Criticism is a part of life. So the death of these family members have been criticized. Happens all the time. It is not cause for a lawsuit and Alex Jones doesn't hate the families. He has a right to criticize the government when things are not done according to procedure.

We never say, btw, that when a person cheats on a test, "It's the pen's fault." Why do we say when someone is killed by a gun (not a knife or other object just a gun) that it is the gun's fault?

You're apparently new here, so allow me to offer some advice. Keep conspiracy theory talk to the Conspiracy Theory folder.

This thread is about Alex Jones and the defamation cases.
