Hey all,
I'd like to ask you a question in relation to drinking alcohol, or a few actually.
- Do you drink alcohol?
- What would be your limit in drinking alcohol?
- Do you believe according to the scriptures that it is ok to drink and is there a difference in this between men and women?
- Would you miss drinking alcohol if you stopped today (if applicable).
I promise I come back to answer these myself but would love to read yours also. Thanks.
Yes, occasionally.
My limitations would be never around or when I was in care of my children.
As far as the amount (if this is your question), hmmm ... it is a good question, but I know for me it doesn't take much, to feel relaxed.
Yes, I believe scripture accepts the drinking of alcohol. I am not sure about the remainder of this posted question so I cannot answer fully. Other than alcohol consumption and the abuse of it is a weight factor, men can ussually drink and handle it better than women, if you ask me, but this is not based on the bible only experience.
No, if for what ever reason it became not available, it wouldn't bother me in the least not to have it around.

I can point to scripture from Noah to Jesus were the use of alcohol is acceptable. But I think as Christians anything that we do in this world once we accept Christ Jesus, we should consider what the outcome would be should we choose to do it. We should be more aware of the impact on eternity.
1 Corinthians 7:28-31 But if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will
face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this. What I mean, brothers, is that the
time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they had none; those who mourn, as if they did not; those who are happy, as if they were not; those who buy something, as if it were not theirs to keep;
those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them.
For this world in its present form is passing away.
The Jews were aware of this fact and as Christians I believe we should be too. We should live in this world knowing that we have better things and a way better place in store for us if we remain in Christ Jesus and produce the fruit in which GOD requires. For compared to eternity it is an extreemly short time we have on this earth.
