Perhaps you should stop making false accusations. I did, in fact, read the article before I posted it; your statements to the contrary are entirely incorrect .The study found that moderate alcohol use--one or two glasses of wine per week--will not harm a developing fetus. The fact that one of the researchers disagreed with the results of the study is not relevant. She may have been opposed to pregnant women drinking before the study and been upset Jen it didn't confirm what she beleaved. We don't know why she said what she did, but we do know what the study found.
In the future I would appreciate it if you didn't make false accusations as you did here. You could have asked whether I had read the article before making such accusations. And remember, I have not suggested that anyone, including pregnant women, should drink to excess.
Perhaps you should realize you didn't produce an article that said what you hoped.
False accusations my eye. Anyone who reads that article that you chose to seek out and add to this conversation quickly realizes that it does not advocate a pregnant woman drink alcohol. Nor does it state that it is perfectly OK to do so.
Maybe you should back off promoting falsehoods to the contrary of what the article states.
Just to make it very clear so that no one believes it is OK to drink alcohol while pregnant and nothing in this discussion proves to the contrary, this is from the article you posted.
And just so that it is crystal clear, you posted this after
you quoted Four Angels Standing. And after she had asked someone else, presumably not yourself, to show medical evidence that states it is OK to drink alcohol while pregnant. That question in post 16. While you chose to answer her when you quoted her request of ewq in your reply in post 20.

In the U.S., doctors caution that any amount of alcohol could endanger the baby, while in many other countries moderate drinking during pregnancy is considered OK. Many moms remain passionately divided on the issue.
Studies have shown that heavy drinking causes birth defects. Niclasen was curious about how maternal drinking affected the mental health of their offspring.
"We know that drinking heavily is really, really bad for the fetus, but we are not so certain whether or not drinking a glass of wine is OK," she says.
