I've never heard the term 'albigenses' before, so I looked it up... thanks for helping me learn about something new today.

Apparently there was an Albigensian Crusade, lasting about 20 years in which the Catholic church tried to kill all of the Cathars, thousands of people died. Whatever their belief, I don't think they deserved to be slaughthered.

It looks like you have missed the point entirely. By "us", God means the trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Notice that it is "Gods". It is obvious that the bible was talking about the Idols and not actual Gods because there is only one God.

For a Christian you certainly do state a lot of 'just-so' opinion that is decidely anti-Christian.
