I see what you mean. A Demon may not always attack you if there aren't any demons present in the area. We can express strong emotions such as anger and sadness, we just have to be on guard and prepared to defend our mental and spiritual disposition from evil spirits that may be present. There's a good verse I remember

1 Peter 5:8

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Yikes! I find that situation hard to reconcile with the promises of God's protection of his servants.

It might be nonsense today... But thats not going to keep people from trying. Who knows, there was once a time where the thought of man flying through the air, orlet alone even to the moon, was total and utter nonsense.

I must conceded that the word "Rubbish!" does inflict a far more emotive impact than just calling something "nonsense". It's the combination of that initial smooth growl-like r followed by the explosive b which immediately merges into a threatening viper-like shshsh hiss that seems to provide the word with a power to elicit a rather strong visceral reaction.

If indeed I would take a chance on purchasing an AI when and if the becomes available, then I would make sure to keep several sledgehammers at ready in strategic locations around the house just in case so that I could brain it before it decides to brain me. Better safe than sorry as they say.

Another danger to consider is that the creation of a sentient AI might constitute psychological cruelty. The AI might perceive itself as lacking what humanity enjoys evaluate its own existence as intolerable and conclude that we are monsters.

Just recently I was reading about how they are infusing human brain cells into rat brains in order for it to gain a certain awareness. Concern was expressed about its ethical implications in relation to the possibility that its awareness might cause it to feel horror concerning its own form.

There is a short story about that very thing happening and the resentment that the AI feels is so great that it attacks mankind.
