I don't think it makes you a wimp. Some people can go ahead, ask someone out, be rejected, shrug it off and move on. Other people, like me, tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. If I were to ask someone out it is because I really, really, really like that person and the thought of rejection eats away at you. It's not that you're a wimp. No matter what, rejection hurts. Some people are able to let it roll off their backs. Others let it go straight to the heart.
Sometimes we don't know for sure about many things, but we have to do them. It sounds like you have a pretty good chance of things working out the way you want them. But you always have to remember that they may not. She may be sitting there waiting for you to ask her out on a date, thinking, "duh, doesn't this guy get it??" or the idea may surprise her and she may say no. But how will you know unless you take that chance?

Maybe I am just setting myself up to get burned again, oh well........ What do you all think? I am a relationship novice, so I have no backround to work with.
