CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh wow procrastination has got to be my #1 worst habit. It keeps me from doing TONS of things that I could otherwise accomplish!

I work well under pressure. The problem, however, is that I don't enjoy being under pressure. Often times I just procrastinate until the last minute, and I still get good grades somehow! The one time I worked ahead of schedule, it didn't help at all. I remember last Spring I had a takehome final for plasma physics. I got it a week before the due date, and started working on it right away. But I couldn't figure out a single problem. I stared at it all week to no avail. And then, two days before it was due, it finally came to me, and I started making a lot of progress. But, the great procrastinator that I am, I went to the bar with a couple friends at 10 pm, and came back at 12 am to finish it.

I think I procrastinate, but not like some people do. Basically, if I have a paper due in a week, I freak out and write it in one sitting . . . a week before it's due. Then I may look at it once or twice before I turn it in (may being the key word), so it serves the same purpose of waiting until the last minute.

Hehe i just work well under pressure! I intentionally put things off so I can do them last minuet, and do a really good job on it.

Yes, I admit I am a procrastinator but not a very proud one. I get very good grades though. Things always get done even if it's at the last 5 seconds. But it doesn't help with the stress.

ahh senioritis has hit me hard these last couple weeks. Next week is my last full week of college classes ever, and it will be grand. I procrastinate a lot but i never let it get so bad it hurts my grades.

Ashamed procrastinator here. In fact, I'm procrastinating on starting 5 different projects right now. I wish I could get up the attention span to start them, but the internet keeps calling out to me!

but to be fair, it almost cost me my programming class last semester and back at the community college, i wrote my research paper the day before it was due...and in other classes...wrote papers the day of

Last semester, it was the night before I had a 2000 word essay due on the effect of scientific discovery had on 19th century art (I picked that essay question that day) at around 7 pm I wandered down to the library and got some books relating to the subject. I stayed up till 6am writing it and I thought to my self "I'll be happy even if this only just passes".
Turns out I got A on it.
Booyah!
