Read back through the thread… post 13…I didn't say anything about blessing couples vs. blessing individuals.
Yeah, I'm reading it. I don't see anything about gay marriages or blessing gay marriages.Read back through the thread… post 13…
I totally agree. If that's all you said, then of course. That is boring old news.
IAlright then. You have no proof. We get it.
That’s not proof of what you originally claimed. Show us from the teachings of the Church where this has been approved and going on for years as you claimed. Problem is, there is none. Wiki and Reuters are not teachings of the Church or reliable when it comes to what the Church teaches and believes.I
ve given a Catholic Review source and a Reuter's source and a Wikipedia source, not sure how much proof you want but it hasn"t hit catechisms yet
How about a document issued from the Vatican? Do you have one of those?I

We could even go with a Bible reference. Oh wait. How about a document issued from the Vatican? Do you have one of those?
Careful. Some people like to claim David and Jonathan were lovers....or Naomi or Ruth (they were daughter in law and mother in law, yuck) or Jesus "allegedly" blessed a gay couple, yada yada yadaWe could even go with a Bible reference. Oh wait.
I was referring to the actual Bible and not somebody's malarial dreams about what they hope to persuade us is in the Bible. So yada yada yada to them.Careful. Proper interpretation is always key.I was referring to the actual Bible and not somebody's malarial dreams about what they hope to persuade us is in the Bible. So yada yada yada to them.
What passes for academic rigor these days is anything but that.Proper interpretation is always key.![]()
Yup. They twist scripture to support their sin. Sad, really.I was referring to the actual Bible and not somebody's malarial dreams about what they hope to persuade us is in the Bible. So yada yada yada to them.
Amen! What passes for academic rigor these days is anything but that.
Maybe this will do:How about a document issued from the Vatican? Do you have one of those?
You know the secular news twists anything that concerns the Roman Catholic Church don’t you?No, but it is all over the news.
See above post. Sorry, been out of pocket a few days. You know the secular news twists anything that concerns the Roman Catholic Church don’t you?
Why don’t you investigate the source? That’s would be the Church itself.
Same answer. Get your news from the Church or Catholic news sources. Although I will warn you there are independent Catholic sources that completely go against Church teaching you have to be aware of. Best bet? Consult your priest, your Catechism, the Church.See above post. Sorry, been out of pocket a few days.
This is the source you stated in the other thread was superfluous…Maybe this will do:
Declaration Fiducia Supplicans On the Pastoral Meaning of Blessings (18 December 2023)
Declaration Fiducia Supplicans On the Pastoral Meaning of Blessings (18 December 2023)www.vatican.va
Of course, anyone really interested could google this as well. Fiducia Supplicans is the name of the document.
