Yes he did... perhaps Judas did not forgive himself, and that's another issue...
For you to suggest that sincerity be the criteria for forgiveness, then one must question if you have even extended forgiveness....
And you know he wasn't forgiven because of? Does a request for forgiveness have to be made for forgiveness to occur? NO.... Jesus said while they were crucifying him, Father forgive them because they don't know what they were doing... so to whom was forgiveness extended? Even though they didn't ask......There's isn't even a scintilla of evidence that God fogave Judas. He didn't repent of his sin so how could God forgive him?
In order for forgiveness to even exist there has to be a sincere request for forgiveness. In my case, it's like water off a duck; let God take care of them.
As for your criteria of what has to happen for forgiven to occur i.e. a sincere request.... I hear you, but I disagree....

good for you... have a good day...I didn't claim that Judas wasn't forgiven. I simply noted that there is no evidence for your claim that he was forgiven. Now since he then went off and hanged himself that's a pretty good indicator right there that he wasn't right with God.
When I was comparing DA with over 30 other authors I'd run into a number of authors dealing with this particular episode. Off-hand I don't recall reading a single one of them that would say that Judas sincerely repented.
I learned that one when I was but a child.
Not all saw it as an attack, and did not question your sincerity....Quite frankly, I don't really care if Conklin accepts my apology or not. I pretty much figured he wouldn't even before I offered it. Nor do I care if anyone believes it was not sincere either.
I stand by my explanation. The post was not meant as an attack, so to apologize for an 'attack' that was not happening is ludicrous. It was a simple query, nothing more. And 'attack' is clearly what was implied by Honor's post #16, a typical attribution of evil intent and motivation that she so exels in using against me.
I apologized for misjudging Conklin's reason's for his post, because that is what happened. He was trying to lighten the mood, and I did not get that at the time.
I'm done with this Trust, so just let it go. All this is doing is just bringing more ridiculous charges against me. Being compared to Judas tells me that this matter is pretty much finished and there isn't much more point in continuing it.
