Disagree. The money spent bought good public relations effects and it is not extravagant to celebrate our wonderful democracy once every four years. It is always important to spend money on things like Tsunami relief and help for the disadvantaged, and plenty of money IS spent on social programs like these. But that doesn't mean that money should not be spent on other worthwhile public works.

A/D: Samaritan's Purse, a Christian internation relief organization headed by Franklin Graham, Billy Graham's son, is a great place to donate our private funds to help the less fortunate of the world. The Bible says " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' " NIV Matthew 22 37:39 Every other person on this Earth is our neighbor!

Agree! Concentrate on the road when driving, don't be distracted by the cell phone or changing radio stations. Put on a good Christian station and leave it there!
