This is actually a prayer request, but it is specific to our age group in a way. My dad has had a really amazing life. He has had and been healed of so many things, like cancer, heart attacks, numerous bypasses, etc. When he was 46 (I think) he had a quadruple heart bypass, and was given 4 years to live. He is now in his 70's. Earlier this week I had a strange dream, and most of the dream had nothing to do with my dad, except the first part of it. In the dream we were sitting down with something like cards, maybe more like coupons, not really sure. Anyway, I heard the distinct words in the dream that he only had 1 year to live. Today my dad called to ask me to take my mom to the store. I found out that he has been having a rough week, and my mom told me today that she is afraid he is going to die. I know God can heal him as He has done so many times before. But, we all have to go sometime, and he is in his 70's, when the doctors predicted he would die at 50. I guess I am not really even sure how to pray for him. He is in a lot of pain, and honestly he would be happy with the Lord. I am worried about my mom though, and frankly, I am not ready for my dad to die. Please pray as the Holy Spirit leads you. I also am wondering how you have dealt with this, for those of you who have. Thank you.

I lost my dad 3 years ago, when he was 73. He would have been 77 yesterday. But, he had so many things going on, it was hard to pionpoint exactly why he died (diabetic, heart issues, and the X-rays showed he had lung cancer which had never been diagnosed) My mom is now 75, has high cholesterol, and emphysema. She was recently put on oxygen, which is helping a lot. So, I said all that, to say this. Yes, I know how to pray!! You just have to do what you need to do to help your parents.

My Dad turns 72 today and my mom turns 72 later this month. I am starting to think about it more and more about them not being here. I will miss them terribly because we are all so close. I know that we all have to go sometime but it will be hard when they pass away because I enjoy their company so much.
