I'll continue to report posts like this one.

Why?

Because it's what the mods/admins REPEATEDLY say we are supposed to do. All I'm doing is abiding by the forum rules, rather than engaging in a chest-beating contest with you and your ilk.
No, actually the mods here have repeatedly said we should cut back on reporting, because they are constantly being swamped by user reports, especially from the same few people over and over and over (most of which are declared no-violation anyway).

Well, I've had several moderators tell me - via PM - to report rules violations. In fact, that's what I get told every time I ask a mod/admin about something.

Maybe they USED to say to report stuff, but now under the "new and improved CF" they're getting swamped.

I don't know.

No, they encourage reporting rules violations. It's just that most of the time what gets reported isn't a rules violation - thus, the enormous number of NV decisions.

Well... what I'm seeing is some pretty nasty, vulgar and harassing garbage being posted - then reported. And frankly, I am dumbfounded by how/why some people are allowed to remain here.

I'm sure there is absolutely do double standard intended, but it sure does seem like there is.

In my opinion the mods have always been pretty even-handed and appropriate when it comes to taking action on reported posts - even when my posts are removed for rules violations or quoting posts with rules violations.

That's cool.
