Time is certainly quantified in Genesis 1.
Day and night, morning and evening. 24 hours.
Unless you can show that he changed the meaning of the words.

If you want to comment at least read what has been written concerning the nature of the days and what is attributed to the Genesis rendering involved in "day". Further, if you would like the questions are there to answer...…….

Wrong. Day and night are introduced in Genesis 1.
Morning and evening were also introduced.
You don't have all four unless you have a 24 hour day.
There is nothing in the text to indicate anything else.
You have to bring in that from other sources, and I wouldn't
recommend doing that with the bible, because you're only
going to corrupt it, not make it better.

What time passed during verse 1?

Why we can't say from scripture how old Earth is--

This should help -- I believe literally in all the words of Genesis chapter 1. These are actual days I think also. Trying to help you avoid needless arguing. Why do people argue so much over which way to interpret Genesis 1 anyway? It's not Christian. It's a snare of the enemy i think.
