Hey hey i did not know who AFI was and when i did some research on them i found out that they are a Satanic band and i don't want toi sound rude but why are us christians listening to a Santanic band????

yes i like afi and no they are not satanic. they're a (now) emo punk band. i have, afaik, all their albums. answer that, shut your mouth, black sails, all hallows ep, sing the sorrow, etc. their new stuff is good but i still prefer the older afi.

i too adore the music of AFI. but i stopped listening to this band a couple of years ago because of most of their lyrics (and cuz of an association with some person..). i may sound like a wussy but i just can not take a band serious when i dislike/disagree their lyrics. this May be seen as my own personal opinion, but i see it like this: what if God asks you to play your favourite music for Him? ...i think you'd disappoint him with lyrics about "dark things"..
ps: i wish AFI would've had more positive lyrics. they'd be one of my bigtime favo's by now..

i don't mind the dark lyrics. When I have difficult days, it's what I need. but hmmm...interesting point.
but yeah, i don't like positive lyrics on some days. like my favorite band is our lady peace, because their lyrics are so motivational for me. but there are days when their words annoy me. hehe

i listened to afi a lot before i became a christian. i still do listen to them some times. but honestly, no i wouldn't play afi to God. and seen as he see's all, knows all, hears all etc. i dont listen to them as much.
