What do you think? Is there a possibility that they may be Christian?
Here's what I've been able to find out, so use your own judgement on this one:
Many people believe the lead singer/guitarist, Dave, is Bi. This is due to his feminine appearance. However, he has never admitted to this, nor has been found dating or interacting sexually with another guy. He has a very pretty girlfriend as well... So I'd like to dismiss that myth.
Another myth about Davey, is that he's a goth. Well, that I can't answer. But then again, I hate labels. The truth is, he is trying to make a look for himself to stand out-- Understandable.
Satanic? ...Let's just not go there. There is no doubt in my mind that AFI are NOT Satanic...Otherwise their song Demonomania would of been serious. The lead singer has confirmed that there is a point to that song, displayed in his own sick sense of humor.
I have not listened to many of their songs unfortunately, in fact, I have just started... So I'll give you my opinion when I read some more lyrics, and listen some more.
Now, the fact is... if God asked me to play him my favorite song, I'd gladly whip out AFI and play Silver and Cold.
Just some thoughts.

Hey hey i did not know who AFI was and when i did some research on them i found out that they are a Satanic band and i don't want toi sound rude but why are us christians listening to a Santanic band????

research meaning looking on google and finding some crackpot site? if ya call that research than whateva.

Afi being a christian band? Is marylin manson a christian?
as a matter of fact, I think that you could interpret almost every lyric on earth as a christian lyric. like ive been told that if you read the (cant remember the title) album of m.manson with a different perspective, then you could see it as one of the most christian influental albums ever. its just the interpretation that YOU give it.

inspite of that all, i still use my formula to "test" a band by lyrics and charisma. (the one if youd play it to God..)
I mean, God dresses white and i think id kinda dissappoint, or hurt him when id spoil it with one my "darker things" if you know what i mean. so im trying my BEST to keep it clean

well i'd like to agree with the above poster by saying, Davey Gay? you wish lol, this rumor was started by a bunch of people who disliked the band, their guitarist recently came on their forums and said davey is NOT gay by any means, he only has interest in ladies, his feminine apearence SO WHAT who's supposed to judge? us? I think not

and onto his Faith, well davey has never said what relgion he is exactly but he does show a disgust towards most organized religion and has showed interest in Numerology through some of their songs and an LP title

also Goth or not Emo or not Punk or not who cares they make good music and i enjoy it, to anyone who enjoys STS do yourself a favor and buy their cd Art Of Drowning then if you still like them after that go buy Very Proud Of Ya, and Shut Your Mouth And Open Your Eyes, also go support their friends band Tiger Army, awsome punk/rockabilly (sometimes called Psychobilly) band.

from what ive read davey havok use to be catholic becasue thats what his family was and thats why he hates organized religon because he was forced into it. they have repitedly said that they were not! satanic. i think he has promblems with the catholic church more then God. but they are the best band and alot of there songs have alot of christain symbolism in them.

I am a fan of AFI, apart from this poor attempt with a new album, I didn't think they would ever be pulled so drastically towards entering the mainstream to copy a different band for each song of the new album, there's only about 2 or 3 on there that are recognisable AFI. though I still am going to see them in october.

On the whole belief thing, AFI aren't satanists or christian, atheists in anything
