On the issue of Jewish slavery and indentured servitude, it is not comparable because in both of those cases the "servants" were allowed to keep their native culture, religion, name, and family units in tact.

Part of what made American chattel slavery so successful was the practice of selling children away from parents, beating the men and raping the women at a pubescent age, and hanging by the neck until dead any slave that would attempt to learn how to read.

These practices ensured that the men's spirit would be broken, as they could not protect their women from being raped,nor could they look their master in the eye without facing a beating, so they learned at a young age they were powerless and stripped of any sense of manhood they might have developed.

Same with the women. They learned not to respect their own black men because of their powerlessness and learned that the master was "all powerful" by watching him beat the men and suffer through her rape trauma.

The break up of the families was to ensure there could be no unity in the slave camp nor a reason for a man or woman to fight for their children's lives, safety, or freedom.

Keeping the slaves from learning to read ensured that the slaves could not communicate effectively over a distance. When people read news, testimonials, and can make plans in concert, they can organize and possibly overturn the whole system.

Now that is quite different than a white man who works for a farmer for a number of years in order to pay for his ticket to the United States or working off a debt from gambling or another issue. It is also different than the Israelites who were permitted to live amongst themselves, with their families, language, customs, and religion all being tolerated.

Then fast forward to today, Affirmative Action is misunderstood by many people. It is not a system to take jobs away from deserving white men and give them to undeserving black people. It is a system in which a company tracks it's hiring practices and making sure that they are hiring qualified people from more than one background. There are no rules that say "give the job to the black woman even of she is not as qualified." No, it is to make sure they do not PASS on qualified people of color or women in order to hire white men.

Then there are people that say we no longer need these programs because slavery was so long ago, get over it! I am not an old or young man (41). When my father was a young person in his home town, he was not allowed to look a white man in the eye for fear of getting a beating. The police not only let it happen, they were the first ones in line to "take you down to the railroad tracks" as they would say. That'snot 100 years ago, that is my parent. So many of these people are still living and still in charge and their children are whom they taught to be the same way. So I think if we want to be honest, we must admit that racism though not touted out loud, is still alive and well

Are the leaders of any of these "hate groups" in leadership positions of any major corporations or financial institutions in the United States? Are they University administrators or directors of scholarship trusts responsible for admissions and or scholarship awards?

The answer is no, the vast majority of people in those positions are actually white males. Many of which obtained their positions due to their academic and business acumen. There is also a great many white males who gained their position through nepotism, fraternity connections, ethnic ties, and racial bias, especially on the executive level where there is as little as 4.8% of the Fortune 500 companies who have a minority as a CEO,minority including women. I hardly thing there's a lack of qualified minorities capable of excelling in these positions,however they will never be allowed to due to racism at the executive level. When it comes to business, there is still only room for white men at the top. It shouldn't be the same system in the middle and the bottom as well. That is why AA is still around.
