  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello!

I am looking to buy a digital camera for selling things on ebay. I am wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what I need to look for. I would like quality pictures for listing my things on ebay, but am looking to spend as little money as possible at this time, to just get by until I can afford a higher quality camera.

I have no idea  regarding the MegaPixels, etc. I see there is a digital camera at Wal Mart for like $78.00, and am wondering if something like this would be decent enough to get me by for now. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help! Have a wonderful and blessed day!

In Jesus' Love,

I don't think that WalMart camera is going to do much in the way of taking pictures up close enough to sell something on eBay, unless it is like a car, or something. I have owned extremely cheap digitals, all the way to professional quality. You probably would do okay with something in the $200 to $300 range, and the more you spend on a good camera, the happier you will be as you gain proficiency in using it.

well, since you are just going to be doing pictures online, 3 megapixels is more than enough. but more megapixels doesn't always mean a better camera. i would highly recommend a canon, or nikon.

i don't know how avid a photographer you are, but usually cameras come with varying levels of manual controls. meaning you control how the picture is taken and not the camera. so, you probably don't need to worry if the camera has full manual controls.

something else to consider is if you decide to use the camera for other things. in that case, you may want to spend a little more for a nicer camera. but that's up to you

hopefully, where ever you go to get one, they will have people that know their cameras. hope that helps

God bless
john~
