Advice and prayer please...

Hey ladies. I need your help. LMP is almost at 9 weeks... but I've been bleeding for three days now. I had to have lab work done to see how my hcg levels were rising. My first test was around 6500 and my second, 48 hrs later, was 6700. They're supposed to be doubling or trippling every 48 hrs. I asked what does this mean? They're so reluctant to tell me and just say that "it's iffy." So now I have to go in for an U/S on monday to see what's going on and have my levels checked again. They said it might just be that I'm only 3-4 weeks preg. but LMP suggests closer to 9 weeks. I'm freaking out because this is our first preg. after trying for almost 2 yrs. I'm so scared to lose it. Please tell me if you've had similar experiences... or if you might know what's going on. I'm in need of some serious uplifting. Love and blessings.

I said a prayer for you and I'll ask Mom to pray, too (Robert'll forget :doh). As I said earlier, I bled for a few days around the time you are now. He's doing just fine and I'm sure your little guy is, too. If they were really concerned I'm sure they would've gotten you in today some how.

I had a friend who bled all the way through 2 pregnancies. Definitely praying!

i will be praying for you. The ultrasound will show for sure how far along you are and the babys heart beat on the ultrasound will help determine everything, so hang in there. Hopefully your only 4 weeks along or something. Its hard to say and thats why they are saying its iffy...the ultrasound is the only thing that can really answer questions. Thank you for responding... I'm still upset, but at least I've calmed down. The bleeding is slowing almost to a non-existant level so it seems the prayers are helping. It's just my gut is saying ectopic, but maybe I'm reaching, it's just I've felt a sense of "too good to be true" ever since we found out we got pregnant. I'm just trying to accept whatever God's will is in this, and hoping He gives me the strength to deal with whatever may come.

It sounds similar to my first miscarriage, but my HCG levels were never that high to begin with and my bleeding just got worse. Don't give up all hope, I've had bleeding or spotting through the first trimester with all of my pregnancies and now we have two beautiful children and just passed the 12 week mark with the third.

I'm praying for you, keep us updated on how you are doing. Just keep asking God for the strength and grace!

if the bleeding is slowing/stopping thats a gooooood sign! I had bleeding in all 3 of my pg (1 miscarriage) and the miscarriage is the only time the bleeding kept getting worse instead of slowing...
God will give you the strength to persevere through this, whatever happens. You are in my prayers.

Thanks again. My mind is in a better place right now. The bleeding is now definitely just spotting, so hopefully I was just a lot earlier than LMP suggested. In any case, monday seems like forever away to wait and see what's going on. I'll let you all know monday what the deal is. Thanks so much for your prayers, they are definitely helping. Okay... I had my appointment yesterday and it seems that I am only measuring at 6 weeks instead of 9. There was a gestational sac and fetal pole, but no heart beat yet, but they said the baby's parts are all there, it's just too early to tell if there's a problem. But my hcg levels would be normal if I really am at 5-6 weeks. They told me the baby's in the right place in the uterus and my cervix was closed, so I haven't miscarried! We await the blood test results today and I'm going to my OB today to talk some more about this and have my first prenatal. Thanks for the prayers. Let's pray for a heart beat within a couple weeks and that the hcg levels are around 20,000 when I find out today. That would make my whole month! Thanks again. Love and blessings.

HCG levels only rose about 1000, so not what they would like, but still rising. That's the main thing. I have another blood test next week and then another u/s in two. We'll see what this little one is up to. He's gonna be a fiesty one when he's born, like his daddy lol. But I feel really at peace and I think it will be ok.
