Do you heat your house when it's -20? That's not allowed under the Sabbath. How am I "under Sabbath" by partaking of its blessing every week? These are mostly rhetorical questions I'm asking, designed to provoke thought. It doesn't seem to be working. Hopefully someone will benefit.
It's one of the ordinances of the Law along with animal sacrifice.Circumcision has noithing to do with the 10 commandments.
Really......Imported. Really?
Unnecessarily......Are we playing a game?
You need faith to be saved. Not law.Nice theoretical interpretation. Again, I'm still here.

The Ten Commandments were for wicked unbelievers. The Two Great Commandments are activated in the hearts of believers by the Holy Spirit. That is your problem sir. For there are 2 laws treated differently by God. The 10 were written by God with His own hand on stone and kept inside the ark of the testimony which represents the one in the heavenly sanctuary which is the very seat of God and are permanent. The Levitical laws were dictated by God, written by Moses on parchment and kept outside the ark.
The ark of the testimony, testament, is called that because it contain the commandments----those are in the heavenly sanctuary still.
Rev_11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
You need to work the system to keep the Ten Commandments today. That's baloney---the 10 commandments is what we are to keep---the 4th says nothing about heating yo9u house. You're confusing what was said----they heat their h9mes---the fires were light before the Sabbath---to this day, everything requiring lights and fires is done at least 18 minutes before sundown, including the ceremonial Sabbath candles.
Different communities have different customs as to how much time to add on to Shabbat, ranging from about 15 to 40 minutes. The most prevalent custom is to light the Shabbat candles 18 minutes before sunset.
Why Are Shabbat Candles Lit 18 Minutes Before Sunset?

Try keeping it as originally given. What system is that? That is what Jews do---the 10 commandment Sabbath says nothing about that.
The Ten Commandments are not for today. Are you sinning if you try to keep them?Well, you just go right ahead and stick to that. I will wait until God asks---What part of thou shalt not, and remember did you not understand? I will see what He thinks of your answer.
Try keeping it as originally given.
Not heating your house or going for a walk... no cooking ...etc.Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
OK---please tell me what you find so totally undoable.
You've long ago crossed over into obnoxious behavior. You're completely ignoring the points made by other contributors and responding with short, challenging remarks that exhibit what I'm hoping is deliberate obtusity. I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds this inappropriate. I really wish you would cease and desist. If you don't want to be part of a meaningful conversation, what is your purpose in participating in such a curt and dismissive manner? Not heating your house or going for a walk... no cooking ...etc.
