2 Peter 1:19-21
We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophets own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He brings light to the darkness. The bible is chocked full of prophecy, and all of it comes from the same source: God. Prophecy foretelling the conditions of Jesus birth, life, the means of His death, and how Jewish leadership of Jesus time would respond to His coming: all true. This should come to us as no surprise because Isaiah 55:11 says, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Wisdom calls to us to trust in the Lords instruction and to heed His commands. What God says happens.
My prayer is that the light of the Lord would shine forth in our hearts and leave no darkness.
Lord God, open the eyes of our hearts!
Holy Father, open our eyes to see your glory over the Advent season, In Jesus name, Amen
