Guest of the Lord
We are invited to the rich feast of the Lord,
never to be hungry again,
Come Lord Jesus!
Isaiah 25: 6-12
verse 6
On this mountain the Lord almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine-
the best of meats and the finest of wines.
...someone had a vision a while ago of a young man sitting at a small table covered in a table cloth, on his own, tucking into a plate of sausage and baked beans with a knife and folk. In front of him stretching into the distance were countless, endless tables, all the same and laid neatly with a plate of sausage and baked beans.
On his right side was a long partition, not too high, and on the other side of the partition stretching as far as the eye could see, was an incredible banquet as descibed in Isaiah....all the young man could say as he devoured his sausage and baked beans, and he didn't want to look over the partition, was "but I like sausage and beans"
The sadness I felt for the young man was overwhelming.
