This may not belong here, I don't know. If its inappropriate, please let me know.
After many years of discussion, thought, and prayer, my husband and I have decided to search for his birth family. We have found out some things: he was born in San Francisco, his birth mother was a registered nurse, in the Army or recently discharged. His birth father was also in the Army. The adoption was arranged by an Army chaplain.
His birth mom was Irish Catholic, from Pennsylvania, his father protestant, from Texas (he was also married, with two children). They may both still be alive.
The reason I'm posting this is that I am wondering if any one here has ever embarked on this sort of journey. I'm sure it will not be easy and we both know that there are risks involved, at least emotionally. But its something that we feel we need to do. Any advice would be appreciated. But especially, we would both appreciate your prayers.
thanks, lynn
