Addressing your prayers...

I saw this in another forum and thought it was interesting...in addition, I have been pondering this myself lately.

When addressing our prayers, Jesus said to pray addressing the Father....however, sometimes when I pray, like before a meal, I say "Thank you Jesus....."

What are your thoughts...???

The answer to your question would be dependant upon whether or not you accept and believe in the Trinity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, as one. If so, then surely you would believe that when you are addressing your prayers to Jesus, you are automatically praying to God.


As it says in the Bible, 'no one comes to the Father except through me', I fail to see that you are mistaken in addressing your thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ.

I agree. I address my prayers to Father God thru the precious name of Jesus Christ, but that's just my personal preference. I think it's Biblicly correct to address either Father, Son, or Holy Spirit; as long as you understand that they are ONE.
