It is very easy to keep the convictions straight, there are no criminal convictions. Again it is not the responsibility of Trump to provide a defense it is up to the prosecution to prove there was a crime. That seems to be clearly understood when it comes to Biden, Clinton or other liberals but not understood or considered at all when it comes to Trump maybe that is why we have a majority of the public that feels that we have a two tier justice system.

However, just what the two tiers are differs extravagantly depending on who is speaking.

I'm still waiting to find out what are the exact words of Schiff's alleged lies. And Trump is not irrelevant here given that Schiff is being accused by Republican congressmen.

Would you really expect a democratic congressman to accuse Schiff of anything? But even if Republican, that doesn't make Trump relevant to it.

At best, these opinion pieces assume Trump's point of view regarding his campaign's interaction with Russian representatives was entirely aboveboard and perfectly innocent, and that anything said contrary to that is false. Without evidence proving that assertion.

This, of course, despite the findings of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

I did read the opinion pieces you posted. Their opinions aside, there were no specific falsehoods detailed, let alone evidence provided that proved any statements false.

And nothing directly from the House Ethics committee, detailing what specific falsehoods led to the censure. Only opinions offered about what those falsehoods might be.

So, while I respect everyone's right to hold an opinion, even if that opinion has no factual basis, I'm afraid I can't accept your opinion pieces as proof that Rep. Schiff's censure was based on any specific or deliberate falsehoods.

But even the following posts don't give the exact words that constitute Schiff's alleged lies. (I'm not referring to the links here.) If you are confident that Schiff has lied then why not, yourself, write down what you think those lies are (the exact words) rather than link opinion pieces?

In the UK a Tory majority parliamentary committee sanctioned former Tory leader, Boris Johnson, for lying to parliament about Downing St. lockdown rule breaking parties. Given Schiff's role in the Jan 6 hearings there is an obvious revenge motivation here. That doesn't mean Schiff hasn't lied, but I've asked repeatedly what are the exact words of these alleged lies yet no one has actually written them down in a post. We're all supposed to know what they are but no one is prepared to specify them.

Nobody here can prove that Schiff lied, and a censure is nothing more than a formal rebuke which carries no legal ramifications. Yes, this was payback for the trump impeachment.
