it was both... shows how men treasure thier wives and how we can ask them for anything.. and get our way
Interesting aspect in how God made the male and female souls to be different.
Eve had added to the Word of God.
Genesis 3:2-3 (New American Standard Bible)
"The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'"
Why was that? God never commanded
not to touch. Only, not to eat! She would not die if she only touched the fruit.
And? Why was she already standing right before the tree when the Serpent tempted her?
The reason she said "not to touch" was because the famous female curiousity had been getting the best of her.

Form what was speoken, it appears there were times in the past when she would explore that tree and wonder about why it was prohibited. Satan observed this. It was the reason for his strategy and tactic.
She apparently had at times in the past reached out to touch the fruit, and Adam seeing this, must have then added not to touch! Eve confused Adam with God's command after a time, and saw the original command as both having orginated through God. God never commanded not to touch the fruit.
So, the downfall of man had its staging area manifested with the female's inclination for that special kind of curiousity many women possess (which is also a very good (refreshing) thing in life, when it submits to righteousness).
The reason the Serpent went after the woman was because the woman was drawn out of her curiousity to explore what was prohibited. Adam was not at the tree when the fall took place. She brought the fruit to him.
If Adam refused? The offspring of the two would have been yet sinless. For it was through Adam (even though he sinned last) that sin entered the world. He was held accountable for the sin. Not the woman who lived in a special naivete of innocence that a man would not. It was by God's design. For the male is designed to be an initiator. The female, to respond (helpmate).
The reason God could use Mary to produce the sinless body for Jesus? Sin did not enter the world through the woman! It was through Adam! Through the male! The second one to become a sinner. Not, the first!
Romans 5:12 niv
"Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned."
When Adam introduced the sin nature to the world. All the world was condemned to be born withn a sin nature. Therefore, when Adam sinned? We were all doomed to be sinners. All sinned when Adam sinned. For when he sinned, he took on the fallen nature to be passed down to all.
Yet! Mary's ovum was not the carrier for the sin nature. (No woman's ovum's, for that matter!) The male's sperm is the source of the sin nature's transference! "
sin entered the world through one man"
It was not through the woman!
That is why Jesus could be born of a woman, function totally as a man. Yet, because he had no human father (just like Adam had no human father), Jesus was to be free of having a sin nature. He was a lamb
"without spot or blemish." He was to be the perfect sacrificial lamb of God to take away the sins of the world!
Jesus
was born, as Adam had
been created.
Perfect and without sin.
If Adam never ate?
The offspring of Eve would have been sinless. The Messiah could have come right away.
But, that was not God's plan!
God had too much to teach the naive angels about evil through fallen man's example. God had to teach them why evil must be destroyed. Once the fall of man took place and men became all sinners; God could then begin to teach the angels why it was that Satan and his angels had to be condemned forever. Show them that good and evil can not co-exist forever, if the good is to be free and secure as God always intended for the righteous to live.
Got to get ready for work.......
