There is nothing I disagree with about in the bible.

The bible is clear that the account of Adam & Eve and Creation, and the Devil are the real historical events to human history. If Jesus refers to himself as the Second Adam, and mentions "by one man sin entered the world..." and talks about Noah as if he was there to witness what he did, then I'd say either Jesus is a liar, or God is in fact telling the truth.

To disagree with the Bible is to call God a liar. The Bible itself says, "Let God be true and every man a liar."

If you wrote a book to explain to people how things happend, why they happened, and how you wanted them to respond because of it, wouldn't you be as specific as possible?

Now, how much more so will not God, who is perfect create His Word in all Truth.

It's important to remember that the prince of this world does not want you to believe the Bible no matter what. Is it any wonder that so many "Christian teachers" today are being used to dissuade those seeking Truth from believing the creation account with their day/age theories and gap theories, all of which rely on logic and science rather than on God. First creation is removed, then morality, and finally God. Remember Paul's words:

"Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith." (1 Tim 6:20-21a) "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. (Col 2:8"

Christ is the Word, and the Word is the Way, the Truth and the Life. The Bible is not wrong. Humans are...over and over and over and over... :(

Peace to all who seek it

The first chapters of Genesis are not eyewitness accounts of events. They tell us a story that provides a basis for all that follows, of which Jesus was the ultimate focus of it all. It's the theme the story tells, not the specific details of how long, where, when etc that are most important.

Why not take it literally when our whole reality is made of the unseen. We are literally reflections of light, and we understand so little of what really makes our reality work. Time is realtive to so many things, so why not to the will of Him that has power and understanding of how the dimensions interact? Science has come to find out that there must be many more dimensions that the three we see and the one we measure in time, and which of these dimensions that now mathematical scientists think may be as many as 10, may hold key understanding about times relativity to us and the other dimensions? So many questions but so little knowledge on our part suggests to me that God may well be able to do as He pleases, making time relative to His will. We do not have he knowledge to restrict what He may know or do or why would we think so by any other reason than pride? What makes us so smart when we have so little power over even the most basic and elemental powers of earth?
Think, also, of Einsteins theory of relativity. the mass of the universe before the big bang would have been tremedous, and the blast and speed unimaginable. How much time would such a mass traveling as such great speed take when observed and measured from any given postion outside of it? Perhaps a thousand years in a minute depending upon where One was at - even in a different dimension observing His own work?!?
It seems that we have plenty of creative imagination when it comes to storys about science in the future, but if the subject of God is thought about, many somehow lose imagination completely and see everything relative to only man's current knowledge as possible for God.
Many scientists are becoming Christians just by reason of their occupation of discovery, seeing the intelligent design as much more possible than accident or chance. One such is the Francis Collins -- head of the Human Genome Project. Lee Strobel's books lists more, and makes great cases for a Creator and for faith in God and Jesus Christ. Check them out. He was an atheist who set out to disprove Christianity but found much more truth than he bargained for....:)

 When it comes to the whole idea of creation do you take the Bible literally? 7 days, Adam and Eve... the whole bit... and if so which parts to u agree with and which do you not etc....

Yeah, I take it literally- 7 days, Adam and Eve... the whole bit.

By believing any of it, there's no need to disbelieve any of it, so... there's my answer, ;)

God Bless

I agree with it all. Sometimes I think that things have been lost in translation, too. Who knows, for sure, how long a 'day' is with God?
Indeed, and well said. From His dimension of eternity where there is no time, the scientific "theory of relativity" could make any amount of time relative to God's will. He is All in all....

Indeed God's account of creation is very hard for us to comprehend and believe, but does that mean it didn't happen. All the evolution theories have holes in them and over my span of life have changed dozens of times, that is because they are theories and not fact.

Now ask yourself this, if God is creator and King of all, which of His teachings should I not believe, and which of His teachings should I reject just because they don't make sence to my lesser intelegence?

God is greater then we are, and His teachings are greater then we are. We can only accept them as truth by faith, not by our human wisdom.

God hasn't asked us to walk through fire or to sacrifice ourselves in any way. He asks only that we believe in Him and in His Son whom He sent to be our Savior.

Years ago when I started reading daily in scripture I came accross certain scriptures that didn't make sence, and I asked myself how am I going to determine which scriptures I would believe and which I would reject. It was a scary thought that I should be in judgement of our God and Creator. It was then that I decided that I would not doubt anything written in the bible, but would trust that God had done exactly what He said even if I couldn't understand it. It wasn't long after that when it all started making sence, because I had accepted it by faith, and then God blessed me with understanding. :)

We know that Adam and Eve are literal people because Jesus refers to them as literal people and Romans 5 describes them as being real people.

While it's true that the word we use to get "day" in Genesis ("yowm") is a little ambiguous and can mean either a literal 24 hour day or a period of many thousands of years or more, the context of Genesis is clear that it is speaking of literal 24 hour days.
