Is it a sin to be deceived?
i think maybe so.
and the reason for this could lie in why are we decieved.
for when we are decieved is it not by things we want to be true.
sometimes we may not want to obey God and only need a logical explanation from someone ,and then are so eager to disobey.
if we totally want to serve God above all things with all our hearts ,minds and souls could we then be decieved?
it's a desire and temptation that can decieve us ,something we seek for ourselves to please ourselves and our own lives without God and what He's already told us.
God gives us all there is no better way.
His way is perfect.
(2Sa 22:31) As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
God bless.

There are so many issues in the Fall of man.
It was the womans desire for wisdom that ruined her, and her man etc.
Who was Adam to mate with after the woman ate and came under the
penalty of instant (That day) death?
We tend to underestimate Adam as a perfect man.
A man gifted with Godly wisdom. He had to make a decision. A wise decision.
In fact, the wisest decision ever made by a man. If he did not eat of the fruit
he would fail his role as man. ("Multiply and fill the earht").
If he ate (Satan 'You will surely not die') God would fail. That same day they
would die, as stated by God.
Satan prepared the scenario perfectly. Adam and Eve did not die like He said.
Did Satan know that God would alter things for the sake of his human creat-
ion?
Did Adam know that God would provide a way out?
Adam and Eve did not die that day, Why?
Their death was delayed to allow humanity to continue. (Multiply and fill the
earht).
Somebody else paid for their choice. (Not their decision).
Adams hands were tied in a matter of speaking. He was caught between a
rock and a hard place.
God was walking in the garden in the cool of the day.
The bible clearly says 'No one has seen God'.
It was the Word, Gods personal spokesman that was there. Not God persay.
'The woman YOU gave me, she gave me and I ate'.
Nowhere in the bible does it say that Adam lied or refused responsability for
his actions like many churches teach.
He stated a fact. This fact left (The Word) God speachless. It was true.
He (The Word) had to take the fall. Alas, Jesus painfull torture in his death.

Man's purpose in the Garden was not to reproduce, the only rule or requirement in the Garden was to not eat of the forbidden tree, and they both did it anyway. God was not wrong in saying that they would surely die. They died spiritually. And man can see God. It is God in His full glory that man cannot see without dying.

"Spiritual death" is possibly the most ridiculous apologetic yet. "Death" describes a particular event - the progression from living to non-living. Obviously, if man is still spiritual, man is not spiritually dead. Whatever happened to A&E might have been spiritual in nature, but it wasn't death. "Spiritual death" requires a complete and utter ad hoc reading of the plain text.

I've never really been able to figure this out...

Adam and Eve, before eating of the tree of good and evil did not KNOW what was good or evil, or right or wrong. Since to 'obey' is 'good' and to disobeyis 'evil'. Now, when they were told they could eat of the tree by the snake they did. not only because they did not and could not understand that the snake was evil, and should not be obeyed and that god was good, and should be obeyed. So they ate from the tree not realizing that what they were doing was wrong. Since disobeying could only be considered wrong by someone who knew of good and evil so they could construct morals and values. So, God punished Adam and Eve for doing something they didn't know was wrong...

What do you think?
i think adam n eve didnt knoe the diff. between good n evil (cause thats what the tree of knowledge wud give em rite?) but they sinned in the sense the didnt follow instructions after God had given em clear instructions. so in that sense they were disobedient.

hope i aint contradictin myself :holy:

I get the impression that everybody commenting on this topic believes that God threw His hands up in the air and said " Oh no! They have sinned."
the Bible says God knows the beginning from the end.
He knew before hand what was going to happen, and Christ was appointed as the Lamb before the foundation of time.
