I was thinking (which isn't the smartest thing I can do sometimes...) in the car on the way to work today.....if Adam and Eve were created by God, everyone else on this planet ultimately link back to those two, right? If that's so....how come we don't all look alike? I mean I know in any family children vary in their looks but I'm talking about how some are black, some are white, some are asian looking, etc. That has always bugged me.

Answers in Genesis does a very good job of explaining this with a booklet called "Where did the Races come from." I think it's like 75 cents to purchase. The cliff notes of it basically state that Adam was probably of what we would today consider someone of a darker complexion disent, like an Iraqi or someone similar looking. From this starting point it's really not that far of a stretch to see as as either black or white. I wouldn't begin to give their facts and presentation justice, so I suggest getting the booklet or even their DVD that expands upon the information in the booklet.

For me it's not always advised. I can really think my way right out of my faith if I let my mind go! Sometimes it's best for me to free my mind of any real thought when thinking about God and then I'm better apt to not question anything and my faith grows stronger. Everyone is different though. I'm just the type of person who questions everything (I'm an auditor) and sometimes that can get me into trubble!

My sister, I respect what you are saying, but thinking and asking questions is never a loss of faith. However, there is something to be said about clear and right thinking. Asking questions may cause you to find yourself relating to God differently than now, but what good is a faith that is not questionable? It will not support you when severe trials come.
