You are right, god does not make your choices, I do not think anyone has claimed such.

Thats just what I have been trying to understand. Thats what I was asking questions, didn't make sense to me either.

Thanks

I understand very well what you all are saying. I'm not blind, but the thing is it's false. We choose and God just knows that choice. You folks aren't seeing what I'm saying, which I guess is understandable, but it's frustrating because you aren't seeing what I'm trying to say.

Namaste Lilly,

we "see" what you are saying as this is an internet chat forum where we must read what another says.

what is not happening is that you are not following your chain of thought to its logical conclusion and it is being pointed out.

IF God has omniscience and *knows* our fate, there is no free will.

IF there is free will, then God is not omniscient.

IF God knows what will happen, yet a human chooses to change what will happen, that means that humans are able to thwart God.

though i have no particular concern for Christian theology, at least in the sense of being within its confines, you most certainly do. i would strongly encourage you to speak with your pastor or priest about the theological implications of humans thwarting God and the lack of free will so that you can come to a better understanding of the problems with this dualistic view.

metta,

Namaste icbeckyc,

thank you for the post.

Why would this negate choice.

the collapse of the wave form rules choice out, altogether, if one posits an omniscient God.

If God didn't want you have to the choice, he would have made it for you. He doesn't interfere in the choices we make. He just has foreknowledge of our decisions.

Is God fallible or no?

If, God is not fallible, can we ever make a choice that God has not already known?

(ETA - i see that your view has progressed since i responded to this, so feel free to disregard as necessary ;))
