Well let's see. Alcohol is a depressant and the majority of doctors and people today would view giving alcohol to someone who is in "deep sorrow" a very bad idea.

Belief in God has no dealing with how you behave while drunk. Many Godly men behave like depraved lunatics while under the influence of alcohol. No good doctor would recommend alcohol to someone suffering from severe depression. The Bible is wrong in that aspect.

Look at the Prozac, and vast array of drugs these insane quacks dish out, and take themselves, for no good reason!! Look at the homo stuff they justify, and all the rest of their packaged bill of goods! I have no respect for the so called profession at all. Have they traded lobotomy, and electric shock therapy for heavier drugs, and ATD? Dad, I am being quite serious here and I hope, for the sake of everything you are, that you never have to suffer clinical depression. I hope you never need the medications because I GUARANTEE YOU if it gets bad enough even you would claw your way through a brick wall using the bleeding stumps of your fingers to get whatever relief is available.

And in all honestly I don't find psychotherapy all that wonderful for me, but it helps some folks. It has its place. It may not be for you, but do be thankful that it's out there not only for the ultimate day when you may need it but also for those who need it for themselves.

Anybody else with a sane mind will hopefully realize to never give alcohol to anybody suffering from any sort of depression. Do not believe the crap that some people spew on here, "giving wine to those in deep sorrow" is wrong and all the evidence shows it is a bad idea.
